My girl Rhymer and My man Loafer:

So the other day Dan was gone to school, and I was very bored at home alone. So I decided to take some pictures of the dogs. We used to take pictures of them all the time, but we have been slacking lately. So here you go...here are the dogs of the Larsen household. Here we have Loafer on the left and Rhymer to the right. They are the best dogs ever! It took me a long time to get them to stop playing long enough to pose for a picture. Aren't they cute?!
This picture is my favorite. I hate the dogs licking my face and Rhymer usually tries to sneak one in once in awhile.I love my girl...she is so sweet! I know she looks goofy in this picture but I couldn't help but still post it. She always wants to be right by me.
Here is Loaf man! He doesn't look thrilled to be taking a picture with me. haha. He is a stud!!!Yeah, I know my eyes are shut, but I didn't have anymore pictures of me and Loaf. I just think he looks so cool! There you have it. Our DOGS!!

John Amico Hair Extension Class:

It was so fun to learn some new ways to do extensions!! I was so happy to go with my sister Sara. It's very rare that we get to hang out, just the two of us.

Connie taught the class and she made is fun and so easy! I love teachers like that.
Here is Sara trying out the new way of doing hair extensions.

and then here I am, doing the same thing. :) So exciting! I just hadn't blogged for a little while, so I thought I would add something. Sorry this isn't very exciting to anyone. haha.

Valentine's Day: A day we will never forget

I had to work on Valentine's Day. Not fun! My parents had told me and Daniel that they wanted the whole family to go out to dinner together. So when I got home I hurried and changed and we were off to eat. My mom wouldn't tell us where we were going. On the way my brother Sean started to give us clues where we were going. I finally guessed where we were going and we were headed to the Cooper's house for dinner with their family. The reason why we were all having dinner together...on Valentine's Day....was because.................Chase Cooper proposed to my little sister Sara!! Whoop Whoop!!!! He proposed at the Draper Temple and then was supposed to bring her back to the house because he "forgot" his tickets to the show they were supposed to go see. Sara had no idea all the family was waiting there to see her and for her to tell us the good news. (We all hoped she said yes. haha) They are so cute together and we are all VERY excited to have Chase in the family. They were both so happy all night and neither could stop smiling. CONGRATULATIONS Sara and Chase!!!!!!!! Cooper's...Sara..Chase...Mackintosh's Myley...Sara (newly engaged)...Me....Mom
We missed you Kelsey, I hope you had fun at the school dance! :) . I can't believe my little sister is getting married. Chase and Sara...showing off her HUGE...GORGEOUS ring!!! It's so freaking amazing!Chase and Daniel. (they are actually 2nd cousins...cool eh?) Now we have 3 guys in the family that all graduated the same year at Lehi High School. This is so exciting! Me and my fabulous, amazing, gorgeous little sister Sara. I love you! We figured we needed one picture of us alone for Valentine's Day.
Daniel surprised me when I got home with some flowers. I LOVED them! Thank you honey.
With my sister getting engaged, being with all the family, and Chase's family, being with Daniel made it the best Valentine's Day yet. Thank you for the great day everyone. I wanted to let my husband Daniel know how much I love him. I'm so glad we are married. He's such an amazing man. I'm a very lucky girl to have him in my life. I love you Daniel, and thank you for the great years so far and the ones yet to come.

Las Vegas

Daniel here; I’ll try to tackle this trip in some kind of chronological order. A few weeks ago our friends Guthrie and Laura invited us to go to Vegas with them. I hadn’t been to Vegas in years and Shandi claimed to have never visited The Strip.

Our friends were planning to attend a show and just hang out for the weekend. After getting plans made we were off on Saturday morning, Guthrie and Laura had left the day before us, and had spent one day there already. Shandi and I made our way on the plane, buddy passes in hand, without any sort of trouble. After a quick flight to Las Vegas we landed and got in contact with our friends. We took a short shuttle trip and met up with them at the MGM Grand where they made reservations a few weeks prior. The lobby of this hotel was definitely grand, and a giant gold lion offered our first Vegas photo op.
(Apologies for the poor image quality, perhaps our camera didn’t know how to compute all of the red and gold, or maybe the kind patron taking the picture didn’t understand me when I said “the green light means it’s in focus”.)
Regardless, we met Laura and Guthrie, made our way to our room. We decided a brunch buffet was a good idea, so we stood in a line that looked like we were at Disneyland. We got our table and had our choice of any food you could possibly imagine, some of it better than other.

After lunch we made our way to the strip to get some pictures (albeit in the rain) and to visit some of the shops. We visited the M&M factory, the Coca-Cola store, and a million others. We visited some shops in Caesar’s Palace. It was nice to be indoors with the rain coming down outside. Although, a few of these malls had the ceiling painted to look like a blue sky, given the lighting and other effects, at first glance, you felt like you were outside. We shopped until we couldn’t walk anymore. We went from stores with moderately priced items to shops with $1,000 women’s shoes; thank goodness Shandi doesn’t much care for fancy shoes.
Ok, enough on that, now on to the main event, the real reason for making the trip – cirque du soleil– KA’!

Wait, before KA, we decided to check out this Mexican restaurant in our hotel called Diego’s. Basically, it was the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. A lady with a cart went around to each table and made fresh guacamole, it was the best I’ve ever had. After dinner it was off to the show.
Unfortunately, there were a bunch of guys dressed like Capt. Jack Sparrow running around yelling at people taking pictures, we didn’t get many, but go here to see a little clip of the show.

I have been thinking hard about how to explain this show; it was unlike anything I have ever seen. Quite honestly, I didn’t know people were capable of creating something like this. The cast was a group of incredible athletes; I couldn’t believe my eyes at some of the stunts they pulled off. But perhaps the most impressive part was the production and the stage of the whole thing. This show is cause for me to believe I don’t get out nearly enough; I am behind on the times. I won’t continue trying to explain this show, but if you get the chance to attend, I highly recommend it.

Ok, this is getting a bit longwinded—the grand finale, Sunday morning we went for a quick swim in the heated pool, just before the only real good weather of the trip, receded to gray skies, again.
For our last activity we went over to New York-New York to ride the roller coaster. It was pretty rockin, we got some killer pictures-- I especially like the one of me. 

After the roller coaster we went back to our hotel to check out and head home. As luck would have it, we actually got on an earlier flight and were home ahead of schedule. Of course, Laura and Guthrie being the awesome people they are allowed Shandi and me to sit next to each other, while they sat in undesirable middle seats of the plane. Thank you Laura and Guthrie, you guys were so much fun to hang out with. We always have a great time with you guys. The room, the show, all of it was awesome!!

Super Bowl XLIII 2009

We invited our friends Guthrie and Laura over to our house to watch the Super Bowl. I was so excited for the game. I hope all of you watched the game because it was AMAZING! It was so much fun to watch. I love how intense some plays would get that we would all be yelling at the TV. :)

So, I am a DORK...so I made up a "betting" worksheet. I'm pretty sure I missed the most questions. (I would not be someone you would want to help you gamble) I also bought white T-shirts to decorate for our teams. I made everyone decorate them and wear them for the game. They boys wanted some opposition so they decided to make it boys (steelers) against girls (cardinals). Again..the game was so much fun. Thanks you both for coming over to hang out.
